The Place Is Falling Apart
On Tuesday, Jan. 31, a schedule walk-through of Mineola High School was scheduled for any member of the public who would like to see the conditions of the school before the Feb. 28 bond referendum vote. The idea of scheduling the walk-through is to show members of the public that the upcoming bond referendum needs approval by voters to address repairs that have become absolutely necessary.

Nassau Pops Gives Birthday Gift to Mineola
Over Mineola's 100 years, there have been many traditions in the village. One of them occurs twice each summer when the Nassau Pops Symphony Orchestra comes to Memorial Park to perform concerts. This year, the orchestra came to the village a little early, in January, to perform a concert in honor of Mineola's centennial celebration.

Corpus Christi Tyro Talent Feeds Local High School Hoops
As the high school basketball season swings into mid-season, a handful of young men are well into their second season of play. Thanks to the devoted efforts of CYO Boys Basketball Coordinator Tom Rudolph and Head Coach Keith Gessner, a Corpus Christi sponsored Tyro team of committed high school freshmen and sophomores dot the rosters of local varsity and junior varsity squads. These adolescents honed their talents during a successful 7-3 fall campaign making them competition ready for winter tryouts at their respective schools.
