Victoria P. Czerniewicz, a resident of Naples, FL and a 45-year resident of Mineola, died on Nov. 3, 2005. She was 94.
Vicky, as she was known, was born in Lynn, MA. After graduating from Boston University, her background in foreign languages and office management took her through a series of career experiences which included teaching business and secretarial skills and acting as secretary to Admiral Byrd, the first man to fly over the South Pole.
In 1939, she met and married John F. Czerniewicz with whom she raised a family of two sons while working tirelessly for such causes as the Society for the Goodwill to Children. She is survived by her two sons, John and Thomas and her granddaughter Veronica.
Arrangements were made by the Fuller Funeral Home, Naples, Fl. A Memorial Mass was celebrated on Dec. 2, 2005 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Naples, FL.
