Ana DeMatos, longtime resident of Mineola and member of Corpus Christi Parish, passed away on Nov. 12, 2005. Born in Portugal on May 17, 1937, and emigrated to the US following her marriage to Manuel in 1961. She resided in Jamaica, Queens for six years and moved to Mineola in 1967. In addition to her husband Manuel, she is survived by three children: Ana Maria, Manuela and Manuel Jr. She was the proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Cristina, Michael, Manny, Paul, Joey and Amanda. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all who showed their love and support to Mrs. DeMatos and her family during her illness and following her passing. Arrangements were made by the Cassidy Funeral Home. Lorraine Hesse, of Greeley, PA, formerly of Mineola, died on Nov. 20, 2005. Wife of Henry G. Mother of Kathie Oswald and Henry G. Jr. Grandmother of Lori Oswald, Karrie Kiskaddon and Jamie Oswald. Sister of Doris Yodice and June Drexel. Arrangements were made by the Cassidy Funeral Home, Mineola. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
