A 29-year-old man who was returning on his bicycle after delivering food from New Hing Hing Kitchen on Jericho Turnpike in Mineola was beaten on Nassau Boulevard and Musgnug Avenue in Mineola, according to police.

Teamwork Leads Chiefs to Fourth Straight Win
Without the services of quarterback Patrick Brown, linebacker-runningback Tevin Carlo and wingback-defensiveback Chris Comito, the Mineola PAL Chiefs 10-year-olds (3-0) traveled to Hicksville for a showdown battle with the Hicksville Crusaders (2-0) for a showdown battle at the brand new Andrews Field.

MHS Girls JV Soccer Notes
As the season opened at the high school for the girl's junior varsity soccer team, little did anyone know that underneath the fresh scrubbed, wide eyed look of these typical freshman, beat the collective heart of a group of experienced, and savvy soccer players. Moving up en masse from the Middle School, this team now features thirteen freshmen, who join three sophomores, to create a team with much potential. Of the thirteen freshmen, no less than seven players possess both middle school and travel soccer experience.
