Scott Fairgrieve is not only running for office, he is "running" for office. On a recent Sunday morning, Judge Fairgrieve, who is running for Supreme Court, ran from the Supreme Court building in Central Islip to the Supreme Court building in Mineola, which is no easy task but the judge was up to the challenge.
Judge Fairgrieve has been serving as a district court judge in Nassau County for the last several years. He is now running for Judgeship on the New York State Supreme Court in the 10th Judicial District. That district covers Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

To demonstrate his commitment, Judge Fairgrieve, along with stalwart supporters who joined Justice Fairgrieve in his running for office, set off at 6 a.m. onto the Suffolk County roads.
Pre-dawn, on the morning of Sunday September 18, Judge Fairgrieve and some of his supporters rallied at the Supreme Court in Suffolk County. That's where Judge Fairgrieve started his run - of almost 30 miles - all the way to the Supreme Court Building in Nassau County.
Along the way, the motorcade and runners, gained support. Bystanders cheered. In Huntington, Plainview, Hicksville, Westbury, Carle Place, and Garden City, other runners joined the pack in support of Fairgrieve.
By the time the group arrived at Mineola at noon, the group had grown to the best part of 100 runners and supporters.
Judge Fairgrieve and his wife Linda led the runners across the finish line, in front of the Supreme Court building located in Garden City.
Judge Fairgrieve has had a significant number of published decisions.
Sunday's run not only showed his commitment to the Supreme Court, but was successful in raising awareness for his candidacy.
