This summer, Mineola Youth and Family Services once again participated in the seven-week First Tee Golf Program at Eisenhower Park. A new skill was taught every Wednesday by John Leibler. Different key values such as responsibility, courage and sportsmanship were also used to teach the golf skills and help the children to see how golf is related to life. Without Michael Wade and his excellent staff, especially Rick Jones and John Leibler, the Mineola Youth participants would have never experienced such a great time with the game of golf. Special thanks also goes out to Kimberly Rocha for donating her time to take professional pictures during one of the sessions and for many of the other activities that her son Jason participates in.
