The staff of the Williston Park and Mineola Pools played an exciting softball game to benefit the Avon Breast Cancer Walk.

This charity event took place on Aug. 21 at Wilson Field in Mineola. The teams played a very competitive and friendly game. The Williston Park staff edged out the Mineola staff 3-2.

It was certainly great to see such a fine group of kids pitching in to help fight this terrible disease. The two teams raised over $700 so in everyone's eyes, they are all winners.

If anyone would still like to help support this worthy cause, they can stop by the Mineola or Williston Park pool offices. All donations will be gladly accepted. Three cheers to both teams and the participants who are a credit to the communities.
