The Mineola History Society building has a new sign thanks to Eagle Scout candidate Drew Barnett, whose Eagle Scout project involved raising money for the sign, which is located outside the building on Westbury Avenue.

Jay's World Walk to Fight Childhood Cancer Scheduled for Sept. 18
Jason Napolitano, president of Jay's World Childhood Cancer Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization, announced that the first annual Jay's World "Walk With Me" event will be held at Mineola Memorial Park in Mineola. Dedicated volunteers, walkers and the directors of Jay's World will once again come together to continue in their mission "to raise funds to benefit children and help support the fight against childhood cancer." Those participating in the 3-mile walk will walk alongside a cancer survivor whose life has been changed by Jay's World.
