The Mineola Storm unfortunately will not advance to the finals of the Waldbaum's cup.

The team took the field with the same fire that has brought them along this far. They played hard against the West Hempstead Braves, a Division III team. West Hempstead scored the first goal, but forward Nick Marino evened out the score for Mineola. The battle continued throughout the first half with another goal by Nick but the half ended with the Storm down by one goal.

In the second half the boys played tough against a strong team. Unfortunately, due to a set of uncontrollable circumstances regarding numerous incorrect or non-existing calls by the referee the game seemed to be in the bag for West Hempstead. Mineola could not surmount a comeback and was defeated with a 6-2 loss.

Congratulations to all the players; Tommy Breslin, Andre Cancelinha, Denis Cruz, Killian Giannini, Tyler Kapela, Patrick Keeler, Philip Lima, Christian Lird, Nick Marino, Caique Mello, Paul Sandoval and Thomas Satalino.

A big thanks to the parents, coaches Anthony Marino, Scott Breslin and special thanks to trainer Pete.
