This Saturday, it is once again time for the annual Mineola Fair, which will take place between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. in Mineola Memorial Park, located off Marcellus Road, next to the library.

Mayor Plans to Continue with Lawsuit
Village of Mineola Mayor Jack M. Martins plans to continue to forge ahead with the village's lawsuit against Nassau County until the county can present a feasible plan for parking when the county sells the Social Services building as well as the parking lot south of the Supreme Court building located in the county seat.

The Mineola High School varsity baseball team heads into the playoffs after completing its regular season. "The last two weeks of league play was very interesting. We played some good baseball, but didn't have much to show for it," said coach Helms Bohringer, referring to the Mustangs dropping five straight. "[But] in the final game, we played our hearts out and battled back to clinch a playoff berth."

Mineola Storm Hopes to Recapture Cup
On Sunday, May 8, the Mineola Storm U-11 boys soccer team played their second round of the Waldbaum's cup challenge against Albertson Aston Villa. The boys are working towards a repeat win of this cup won last year.
