On Sunday, April 24, two of Mineola High School's Girls' Lacrosse Alumnae faced off against each other. Jamie Carter (Class of 2001), playing for Manhattan College's Lady Jaspers, took the field against Allison Carnabuci (Class of 2004), playing for the Red Foxes of Marist College. In a well-played game, Carter and the Lady Jaspers fought back from a four-goal half time deficit to defeat Marist 10-9 in the closing minutes of the game. Both teams will meet each other again in the playoffs.

Other Lax Alumni who saw action this season were:

Deena Vezo (Class of 2001) saw action for the George Washington women's lacrosse team. Deena, playing in the midfield, helped the team to a 13-3 record and clinched a bid to Atlantic 10. Entering this season, Deena was a three-time member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Danielle Adams (Class of 2002) playing for Central Connecticut State University, helped the attack with 18 goals and 6 assists this season. Danielle finished the season off as one of the top leading scorers. She is pictured on the ccsubluedevile.collegesports.com, women's lacrosse website. Despite her efforts the team finished with a 4-12 record, as a result of injuries that sidelined three top starters.

Katherine Hock (Class of 2001) and Allyson Murphy (Class of 2003) entered this season anticipating repeating Adelphi University's NCAA Division II championship season. Allyson saw her season end with a broken thumb. Katherine, with Allyson's sideline support, is still on track to finish out her career with another championship.

Theresa Dolan (Class of 2003), playing mid-field for Stevens Institute of Technology, has played an integral part in leading the Lady Ducks to a 13-2 record with one game left in the season. Theresa has started every game this season and has scored 27 goals and had 7 assists, to make her the third leading scorer for Steven's. Theresa and the Lady Ducks are headed for the playoffs, too!
