At the most recent Mineola School Board meeting as the superintendent of school and the board of education were discussing potential cuts to the 2005-2006 budget, the district was criticized for some of its spending. The members of the Mineola High School Rockettes Winter Guard kickline continue to outdo themselves this season. In their last outing at Copiague High School, they once again took the top spot, getting the attention of the National Judges Association (NJA).
