Jack Martins has accomplished a great deal in the past two years as mayor, acting as an advocate against the mismanagement and status quo of the past. Mayor Martins along with trustee Larry Werther has brought fiscal responsibility, a budget surplus and accountable leadership back to Mineola.
Mayor Martins had the courage and conviction to change the unquestioned practices of past administrations. He is not afraid to attack the problems that have been overlooked or unchallenged in the past.
Mineola is a very diverse community. Jack Martins is a mayor who is open to addressing the needs of all Mineola residents and is always available to put the best interests of our community first.
However, Mayor Martins knows that even though much has been accomplished, there is still more to be done in order to keep Mineola moving in the right direction.
What Mayor Martins needs in order to keep Mineola moving forward are people on the board of trustees who will put the needs and concerns of the residents of the village before all - people like Larry Werther and John DaVanzo, who will put forth policies for the good of the village and the citizens of Mineola. They are men who have the foresight and consideration to review issues, propose plans, and carefully evaluate the impact and benefits to the residents of Mineola prior to implementing them.
On March 15, elect effective, responsible representatives that will put the concerns of the people first, not the concerns of a political party first. Vote to keep Mineola moving forward. Re-elect Jack Martins and Larry Werther and elect John DaVanzo.
