Mabel Elaine Guggino, a resident of Mineola for 53 years, died on Jan. 4, 2005 at Sun Harbor Manor, Roslyn Heights. She was born in Sioux City, IA on June 16, 1915. A retired teacher, her teaching career lasted nearly 30 years, first in Linn Grove and Sioux City, then Mineola. She was a member of the Garden City AAUW, Community Club of Garden City, NNRTA (North Nassau Retired Teachers), MTA/ARMS, Mineola Teachers Association and the Literacy Volunteers (10 years). Wife of the late Joseph P. Guggino. Loving mother of Linda D. Guggino. Dear sister of the late Deon Taylor and Kenneth Moor. Arrangements were made by the Fairchild Funeral Home, Garden City. Service at the First Presbyterian Church, Mineola with Rev. Chet Easton officiating. Interment Graceland Cemetery, Sioux City.
