All boys and girls ages 10 to 14 are invited to participate in a competition for the 2004-2005 Knights of Columbus Corpus Christi Council 2502 Free Throw Championship. The competition will be held Thursday, Jan. 27 at 6:30 p.m. at Corpus Christi School, 120 Searing Avenue, which is one block south of Corpus Christi Church, east of Willis Avenue.
The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually, with winners progressing through local, district and state championship competitions. International Champions are announced by the Knights of Columbus international headquarters based on scores from the state level competitions. All boys and girls10-14 years old are eligible to participate and will compete in their respective age divisions. Last year the knights held over 3,000 competitions and more than 179,000 kids participated.
All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation in the event. All participants are required to furnish proof of age and written consent.
