    Mineola Mayor Jack M. Martins and village officials discovered that the village was paying bills for dumping of garbage collected by a private company and is now expected to file a lawsuit this week in Nassau County Supreme Court in an attempt to recuperate taxpayer money. FULL STORY

    Police report that the nativity put out by the Knights of Columbus Corpus Christi Council #2502 on Jericho Turnpike across from the Knights of Columbus hall was vandalized Tuesday night after a 38-year-old man punched in the plexiglass protecting the nativity and, according to police, threw four cement figures, worth approximately $2,300, onto the turnpike causing damage to each.
