Update on Chaminade Application
The plan for Chaminade High School to build an auditorium and athletic gymnasium on the site of the former Koeppel Ford dealership on the south side of Jericho Turnpike has been approved by the Village of Mineola Zoning Board. The decision of whether to grant the school a special use permit to construct the facility is now up to the Village of Mineola Board of Trustees.

A golf outing will be held on Monday, Sept. 13 at the Douglaston Golf Course, 63-20 Marathon Parkway in Douglaston, to benefit CYO youth programs. Tee times begin at 9 a.m.

Mineola Intramural Swim Team Competes Against Stewart Manor
On Aug. 12, the Mineola intramural swim team finished the year by participating in a competitive swim meet against Stewart Manor. Swim coaches Kat Maher, Jon Zeitchek, Meghan Wellenbrink and Kathleen Reedy worked very hard getting swimmers ready for the event and were extremely proud of the progress that all swimmers made. The final score was Stewart Manor 168, Mineola 121. This meet was a kick start to establishing a year-round swim team for Mineola.
