The session I Scuba lessons are well under way at the Mineola Pool. Participants, Stanley and Gabriella Dziorny, Nishant Bagul, Mayor Jack Martins, Rich Otto, Kevin O'Donnell and Paul Rovek are learning all the components to becoming a certified scuba diver.

Session II registration is ongoing at the pool. The dates for this session are: Mondays , August 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 7 to 11 p.m. This course is being offered for individuals 12 years of age and older. The discounted registration fee is $150 per person. The required equipment for scuba lessons include scuba mask, scuba fins with booties and snorkel.

Scuba Network will offer a special equipment package at the rate of $110. Scuba Network will provide the following equipment for students: tanks, weights, buoyancy compensator, regulator with alternate source and gauges and necessary reading material.
