Capital Projects Take Place at MHS, MMS and Jackson Avenue School
There are a number of construction projects taking place throughout Mineola Schools this coming year, funded by the school budget and referendum approved by the community. The district is dedicated to the task of keeping residents informed about these capital projects through a series of updates on the progress of construction.

Rebuilding the Area
The abandoned Koeppel Ford site on Jericho Turnpike has become an eyesore as it dilapidates further. It had even served as a canvas for graffiti artists. Chaminade High School, however, has a plan to rebuild the area.

Yankees Recognize Students for Contributions to NY Blood Center
In recognition of their efforts to raise and donate blood, 2,700 students from 16 metropolitan area winning high schools of the "2003-04 Yankees High School Blood Donor Championships" were honored today at Yankee Stadium, just prior to the Bronx-bomber's game against the Baltimore Orioles. This year's contest, the eighth since the competition's inception in 1996, resulted in over 35,000 pints of blood donated to New York Blood Center from New York and New Jersey high school students, bringing total championships' donations to over 240,000.
