On Thursday, July 29, the Mineola Mustang Run/Walk Committee will have a very important meeting concerning this year's event at the Mineola Village Hall/Community Center, 155 Washington Avenue, at 7:30 p.m.

This year the Mustang Run/Walk will celebrate its 20th year. Last year, over $35,000 was distributed to various organizations in the village including Cancer Center for Kids at Winthrop-University Hospital, Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Mineola Athletic Association, Mineola Police Athletic League, Mineola Auxiliary Police, Mineola Fire Department, Mineola Historical Society, Mineola Youth and Family Services and Parent and Child Education Program, Inc.
