All Island Applies for Taxi Fare Increase
All Island Taxi vice president Lawrence Blessinger appeared in front of the Village of Mineola Board of Trustees last Wednesday evening and urged the board to approve his application for an increase in taxi fees. However, Phil Fortuna, the vice president of Long Island Checker Cab, another cab company in Mineola, said the increase was unnecessary. An application to the village board is necessary since the board sets the rate for point-to-point service in Mineola.
