The Mineola High School Class of 2004 turned the page on the book of their lives on Saturday when they became high school graduates. At a graduation ceremony on Saturday on the campus of C.W. Post, the graduates received their diplomas ending a lifelong pursuit. FULL STORY

The Mineola boys varsity track and field team turned in another outstanding season this spring. Coach Mike Santa Maria's squad was made up of seven seniors, two juniors, six sophomores and two freshmen. The season highlight was the team's first ever trip to the 110th Penn Relays at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. FULL STORY

The 2004 pool season opened on Saturday, June 19 under sunny and breezy skies. Present for the opening ceremony were Mayor Jack Martins, Trustees Louis Santosus, Paul Cusato, Pool Board Members, Jeff Clark, Lou Sanders, Nancy Portoghese Bauer, Councilman Angelo Ferrara, Pool Supervisors, Erin Mulholland, Raymond Powers and Christopher Teemsma and many other visitors and guests. Both Mayor Martins and Pool Director Dan Kopetic acknowledged the pre-season staff including Activities Coordinator Marta De Sousa and Pool Operator Sean McCrave for doing an outstanding job getting the pool ready for opening day.
