Mineola's 53rd Little League season got under way with an evenly played game. Both teams looked in mid-season form. K's scored all their runs in the fourth inning on four straight hits. With one out, Robby Clarkin singled, Zachary Englis followed with a single, putting runners on the corners. Peter Ciuffo singled to score Clarkin, and Luke Escobar singled to score two more for all three runs. Pitching for the first time in their little league careers, and all three pitched very well, were Ciuffo, Clarkin and Englis. The three totaled 12 Ks on the night.

K's pitchers combined for 13 strikeouts as Dylan Dombrowski, Robby Clarkin and Peter Ciuffo shut down Federal's attack. K's scored four in the first as Kevin Harriman knocked in two runs. Harriman was two for three in the game as was Ciuffo. Chris Villarrubia got one hit and scored one run.

April 24

Mineola Republican 1

The game was 1 to 0, K's going into the third, when K's scored five times to break it open. Leading off the big inning was Nick Sarno who walked, followed by Nick Loiacono who walked, putting runners on first and second. Both Nicks stole putting runners in scoring position. Zachary Englis then doubled one in. Peter Ciuffo singled for another. Dylan Dombrowski tripled to score two more runs and Luke Escobar singled to score Dylan for the last run of the inning. Robby Clarkin pitched the first two innings for K's and totaled six strike outs. Nicky Harran had a single and made a nice play in left field. Happy Birthday wishes go out to K's Clarkin, Englis and Mat Stephens.

K's pitching of Dylan Dombrowski, Zachary Englis and Robby Clarkin combined to shut out Real Time Services, hold them without a hit and striking out 12. Englis was 2 for 2 and scored one run. Peter Ciuffo was 1 for 2 and scored a run. Kevin Hardman was on base both times with a walk and a double.

May 8

Nassau Chromium 7

Both teams played very well. K's had a season high 12 hits in the game as Peter Ciuffo led the way with three hits and he scored three times. Dylan Dombrowski had two hits and scored two runs. Luke Escobar had three hits and three RBIs. Anthony Giaimo had two hits. Robby Clarkin made a nice play at SS and then later in the game teamed up with second baseman Zachary Englis to almost record the first double play of the season.

May 15

In another close game, K's battled to a 6-6 tie. The teams tied the first time they played 3-3. Barnwell jumped out to a 5-0 lead going into the fourth. Dylan Dombrowski singled, Robby Clarkin walked. Both runners stole. Luke Escobar then singled both runners home. Still tailing going into the fifth, Kevin Hardimann doubled, Nicky Harran singled, Anthony Giaimo walked, Nicky Sarno walked and Dylan Dombrowski cleaned the bases with a double. Dombrowski had 4 RBIs and threw out a runner at third. Zachary Englis pitched two innings, striking out six and Robby Clarkin pitched two innings, striking out five.

May 18

Robby Clarkin led the way for K's as he was on base twice with a walk and a single and he scored two runs. Zachary Englis, Peter Ciuffo and Dylan Dombrowski all were two for three and scored twice. Chris Villarrubia scored two runs and Mat Stephens scored one. Dombrowski caught another good game and threw out a runner at third.

May 22

K's Robby Clarkin pitched the first two innings, striking out three and made a nice play fielding his position. Clarkin was also two for four with two doubles and scored two runs. Zachary Englis had a two-run double and scored two runs. Peter Ciuffo was three for four and scored three times. Dylan Dombrowski was one for two and had two walks. Nicky Harran was two for three and scored three times. Anthony Giaimo was on base all three times with two hits and a walk and scored all three times. Kevin Hardimann made a nice catch in centerfield.

Republican's Eddie Novak had two doubles and Chris DeSefano was two for four and scored two runs.

K's improved to 6 wins, 1 loss and 3 ties for the season, with an 18 hit attack. Leading the way for K's was Robby Clarkin and Peter Ciuffo, both going three for four and scoring two runs. Zachary Englis, Dylan Dombrowski and Chris Villarrubia had two hits each and scored two runs. Luke Escobar had one hit and scored two runs. Kevin Hardimann had two hits and scored one run. Anthony Giaimo had another double and scored one run and Mat Stephens was on base twice and scored two times.

After K's scored 8 in the first, Real Time came back with three in the third to cut the lead to 8-4, but K's scored five in the fourth to ice the win.
