The chiefs 3rd Grade team opened the season with a decisive victory. After raining out the opening day the boys were ready to play. All three middie lines came through. Scoring was led by the 1st midline Brians Erhardt, Cody Omage, and Kevin McCloskey. Not to be outdone were the 2nd line who came in and scored twice. Brian Gaffney, and Tevin Carlo each scored after face off by Mike Montello. The Third midline Joe Murray, Jesse Rozio, and Mike V played tough. Keeping the ball in the attack zone while killing the clock. The tough defense of Anthony Fassino, Owen Spisak, and Richard Ford kept Plainedge off edge. Attackmen Gary Kim, Gregory Cochi , Nick Miller, and Dave Fraser sucked up the ground balls better than any Hoover. Goal tending looked easy by Paul Lopes, 6 saves, and Brendan Philbin, 5 saves. The team won handily Mineola 9 to Plainedge 6.
