The Mineola Athletics Booster Club staged its second annual Mustang Stakes on Saturday, Feb. 7 at the American Legion Hall in Albertson.

The evening was a sellout and likely the greatest fund-raising effort in the history of the Booster Club, thanks to the work of all the committee members and club members who donated gifts and worked the night of the event. A special thanks goes to Miriam Anania, Mary Boeshore and Maura Gaffney.

The Booster Club raises money to fund scholarships for graduating seniors and to provide scholarships for selected underclassmen who attend summer athletic camps.
