Mineola High School will honor the memory of former assistant principal Reggie Carter on Friday, Jan. 30 with a tripleheader in the high school gym. Carter, who passed away suddenly on Christmas Eve of 1999, was a former star basketball player at St. John's and played with the New York Knicks.

The tripleheader tips-off at 4 p.m. as the Mineola girls varsity basketball team takes on Clarke. Then at 6 p.m., the boys junior varsity basketball team will host Valley Stream North. The evening concludes with the boys varsity squad also playing Valley Stream North.

The admission for the night is $2 for adults and $1 for students. All proceeds will go to the Reggie Carter Memorial Scholarship Fund.

It's a perfect night to bring the family and a good chance for Mineola High School alumni who have not been to an athletic event for some time to catch up on today's teams and help raise money in the process.

Mineola High School is located at 10 Armstrong Road in Garden City Park. If you have questions, call the athletic office at 739-4168.
