Fall Season Success for Mineola Mustangs
The Mineola Mustangs varsity fall sports season has a solid fall sports season. The football team advanced to the Conference IV semi-final game at Hofstra against Roosevelt and the girl's varsity volleyball team advanced to the county semi-finals, where they lost 3-1 to South Side.

The Wheatley varsity girls soccer team won the League 5 championship this year with a league record of 13 wins and one loss. Last year, the Lady Wildcats won the League 6 championship, and they had little difficulty, this year, sweeping through the competition in a more competitive league. Overall, the team achieved a record of 15-2-1, and advanced to the Nassau County championship game against Cold Spring Harbor. The game was played under the lights at Mitchel Field and remained scoreless through regulation play and three overtime periods before the number one seeded Cold Spring Harbor Seahawks scored in the fourth overtime period.
