Mustangs Drop Semifinal to Roosevelt
The Mineola Mustangs succeeded in getting into the playoffs after winning the Conference IV championship last year. Mineola came into the game (4-4) as the number four seed and found themselves up against the first seeded Roosevelt (8-0).

Before the season, the Mineola boys varsity soccer team and head coach Paul Pereira had big hopes and plans for the 2003 season. As sometimes happens in life, the best laid plans don't always work out. The young men who make up the soccer team, however, have learned that sometimes you still have to keep trying.
