The Village of Mineola received more sad news. In addition to upstanding and well respected resident James Galante passing, the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps lost a member of its Explorers, Peter Mirabile, who died at the age of 18 due to complications from a bone marrow transplant. FULL STORY

School Spirit Shines at Homecoming -- It has become a tradition that it rains on Mineola homecoming day. The tradition continued this past Saturday on Mineola High School's 22nd annual homecoming, but the clouds and the sporadic raindrops did little to dampen the Mustang school spirit. FULL STORY
