Frank K. Tomek, formerly of Williston Park, died on Sept. 9, 2003. He was a volunteer fireman with the Williston Park Fire Dept., senior vice commander of Farmingdale VFW Post #400 and a devoted Yankee fan. Husband of the late Joan C. Father of Joanne Bivona (Salvatore), Francis K. Jr. (Mary-Kate), Patti Van Derlofske (Andrew) and Kim Amato (Christopher). Grandfather of 11. Great-grandfather of seven. Petzolt, of Williston Park, died on Sept. 10, 2003. He worked at Aero Trade Manufacturing in Mineola. Brother of Lois Popi, Frederick W. Petzolt Jr., Raymond Petzolt and Patricia Lerch. Appleby Hunt, a native of Mineola, died on Sept. 16, 2003. Beloved wife of the late George M. Devoted mother of Evelyn McMillin Giordano. Loving grandmother of George A. and the late Debra-Kate Giordano. Also survived by four nieces and one nephew. Mrs. Hunt was a member of the Foresters, Mineola Eastern Star, Williston Masonic Club Auxiliary and the Mineola Republican Club. She served on the Board of Elections and was the eldest member of the Church of the Nativity. Arrangements were made by the Cassidy Funeral Home, Mineola. Eastern Star services were held on Sept. 18.
