Bruce Burns attended the recent Pool Board meeting and suggested that the pool stay open 1 to 9 p.m. for the final two weeks rather than 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The board agreed realizing that it would allow more commuters who arrive home late a chance to have a season ending swim. Pool Manager Dan Kopetic was commended by the Pool/Recreation Board for doing a great job this summer. Mr. Burns also noted that the swim lanes used by lap swimmers had been kept open and free of people crossing over, interfering with the other swimmers. Also the no-eating rule had been strictly enforced.
