The Mineola Pool will be hosting a lifeguard training course during the month of August. Participants will be trained in lifeguarding skills and will become eligible for Nassau County Lifeguard certification upon completion. Participants will also be trained in Basic First Aid and CPR and will receive certification in these areas. All participants must be 15 years of age or older prior to Aug. 5. Sign-ups for this course will be held in the Director's Office located at the Mineola Pool. Sign-ups will be held until Aug. 4 during pool hours. There will be a pre-test on Aug. 5, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. If you qualify, the cost will be $332 per person. The dates and times for the course are as follows:

Monday August 11 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Tuesday August 12 from 4 - 9 p.m.

Monday August 18 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Tuesday August 19 from 4 - 9 p.m.

Monday August 25 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Tuesday August 26 from 4 - 9 p.m.
