The Mineola Pool held its first splash party on Saturday, July12, which was one of the most beautiful nights of the summer. The full moon glistened over the water as our members danced and splashed about the facility. Among many of the families attending the party were the Athans, the Freys, the Griecos, and the Tices.

DJ Steve Griffen and his dancers got the crowd up and on their feet. The children thoroughly enjoyed the hula hoop contest, and dancing the conga line. The highlight of the evening was watching the staff dance the night away including the electric slide led by veteran staff member John Sullivan and Cotton Eyed Joe led by Supervisor Christopher Teemsma. Fun was had by all.

The Mineola Pool Staff looks forward to the following upcoming event:

July 25, Middle School Night, 8 - 10:30 p.m.

* All students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade for the 2003-04 school year are welcome

* Each member may bring in one guest, all members and guests must provide proof of grade level (i.e. report card, student ID)

7/21-7/25 - Junior Olympics Sign-Ups in Director's Office - all day

7/16, 7/23 - Swim Meets - Come Support the Team, 7pm
