Residents to Vote on School Budget
Residents of the Mineola School District will vote on a proposed budget for the 2003-2004 school year on Tuesday, June 3. The proposed budget calls for $62,376,459 in expenditures, a 5.41 percent increase over the current 2002-2003 budget.

Village Board Discusses Intermodal Transportation Facility
At the May 21 work session at village hall, the village board discussed a plan for an intermodal transportation facility that calls for the construction of a four story parking garage on the premises south of the LIRR tracks between the train station and the KeySpan building on Old Country Road.

K's Auto jumped out with four runs in the first. Anthony Fabrico, who was 2-3 on the night, drove in two runs in the inning. Barnwell settled down and got out of the inning. Barnwell came back with two in the second. Vincent Ciuffo led off with a walk. Daniel McAree singled, putting runners on first and second. Stevie Mogavero then cleared the bases with a double down the rightfield line, bringing Barnwell closer.

St. Aidans 5th Grade Wins CYO Nassau-Suffolk Volleyball Championship
After finishing the regular season tied for first place in their division with a 9-1 record, the St. Aidans fifth graders opened the CYO playoffs on Sunday, May 4 at St. Mary's High School matched against the team from St. Frances parish in Wantagh.
