Mark S. Stehl, of Williston Park, died on April 24, 2003. He was retired from FDNY. Husband of Marie (nee Anselmo). Son of Robert and the late Grace. Brother of Betty Bell, Robert and the late Judith. Also survived by many other family members and friends. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park. Frank A. Fox, of Mineola, died on May 3, 2003. He was a retired Boar's Head distributor. Husband of Lillian. Father of Denise Collins and Robert Fox. Grandfather of Matthew, Heather and Stephen. Brother of Josephine Tighe. Arrangements were made by the Cassidy Funeral Home, Mineola. Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Ethel Kissam Ketcham, a Mineola resident for over 62 years, died on May 3, 2003. A memorial service will be held on May 17 at the First Presbyterian Church of Mineola at 10:30 a.m.
A lifelong LI resident, born in Little Neck, she was educated at Northfield Academy, Northfield, MA, Class of 1932. Upon her graduation and after moving back to LI she was employed by the Chemical Corn Exchange Bank in Manhattan. In 1939 she married the late F. Howard Ketcham, retired vice president of LI Trust Company, and on Dec. 7, 1941 moved into their home in Mineola.
While a resident of Mineola, she raised a family, worked in the Mineola Schools and found the time to be an energetic grandmother. She was also involved in many community activities. Some of these were the Mineola Civic Association, Mineola Athletic Association, the Mineola Centennial Committee, First Presbyterian Church - Ladies Auxiliary and a founding member of the Mineola Historical Society. She was also an active member of the National Society - Daughters of the American Revolution and the National Society - Colonial Dames XVII Century.
Mrs. Ketcham is survived by her family, Jeffrey and Anne of Hawley, PA, and Russell and Carol of Carle Place and four grandchildren, Scott of Alexandria, VA, Todd of Portland, ME, Susan of San Diego, CA, and Doug of Carle Place.
