Mineola Civic Association Update
Mineola Mayor-elect Jack Martins stopped by the Mineola Civic Association meeting at the Community Center last Tuesday. He informed the group that village board meetings, work sessions and public meetings will be held in the public meeting hall so residents can be comfortable and hear the board at work.

CYO Basketball Night
Corpus Christi CYO is proud to present its Third Annual Basketball Night to be held on April 8 at 7 p.m. in Fitzgerald Hall (basement of church). The guest speaker for this year is the former coach of St. John's University men's basketball team, Lou Carneseca. The presentation includes a slide show and refreshments will also be available. All CYO participants and CYO alumni are asked to please come and enjoy the evening. If anyone else is interested in attending please contact Tommy Rudolph at 746-7393. The CYO will do its best to accommodate everyone.

Elizabeth Ratner Scores in Annual Kings Park 15K Run
Forty-two-year-old Elizabeth Ratner of Mineola scored a smashing victory in the women's masters division of the 6th annual edition of the Kings Park 15 Kilometer Run on Sunday, March 23, crossing the fishing line in 1:03:19. Ms. Ratner, who was the second female finisher in 2002, scored third this year and was a comfortable winner among the women over age 40.
