I am writing this letter to the wonderful people of Mineola who expressed their right to vote in this past village election and to all those who took the time to consider me as a candidate for trustee. Although I did not win, I am grateful for the opportunity to run as a candidate. I threw my hat into the political ring to be part of the solution, not a part of the problem. This has been an incredible learning experience in more ways than one as well as a true personal gain. I congratulate Jack Martins, Louis Santosus and Larry Werther on their victories and wish them well in their new positions. They certainly have their hands full and I know they will all work well together and continue to make Mineola the great village that it is.
I would like to thank the entire Mineola First Party and all of our supporters who worked diligently no matter what was asked of them. I could not have asked for better friends and supporters than the ones I have and have made through this campaign. Your efforts will never be forgotten in my heart.
I am sure many of you will continue to see me around Mineola whether at the pool, library, our many sports fields, church or the supermarket, please feel free to stop and shoot the breeze with me. As I have said before, it's the people of Mineola that make it so wonderful and I would love to meet and greet each one of you. Looking forward to seeing you around town.
