    Mineola High School's Jennifer Pirrone is quite simply the best high school bowler in Nassau County. Pirrone, a senior, placed first in the Nassau County Individual Girls Bowling Tournament. The competition took place at the Garden City Bowling Lanes on Feb. 8. Pirrone brought her "A" game to the county tournament. She bowled a 1257 series, which was 58 pins better than her closest competitor. Jennifer had games of 236 and 247 on her way to the title. Her 247 was the second highest game bowled that day. So, Pirrone is one of six girls who will represent Nassau County on the all-sectional team, which will compete in the state tournament at the East Meadow Bowling Lanes on March 1. Jennifer had a 175 average for the regular season, which was the second highest in the conference. She ranked 11th in Nassau County for the season. The Mineola Girls Varsity team took second place in the conference and ended up 10th in the county. Obviously, Pirrone didn't do it all by herself. Jennifer Boyle averaged 153 and was named all-league, while Diana Crowe was an all-conference performer with a 142 average. The Mineola girls finished 10th in Nassau County during the regular season and 15th in the county tournament. FULL STORY
