This is a fun time of year. Goblins and assorted "creatures" will soon invade our village.

The terms, Tai Chi and Mah Jong, thanks to Trustee Elizabeth Conlon are recent additions to my vocabulary. For the fall, Trustee Conlon suggested that the village make available multiple programs for the enjoyment of our residents.
The Fall Programs are:
Mondays--Group Dancing
Tuesdays--Yoga for Seniors
Wednesdays--Tai Chi for Seniors
Thursdays--Mah Jong for Beginners
Fridays-- Arts & Crafts
The turnout for these programs has been wonderful. Please, if you are interested in participating in future programs, call Kyle at 746-2326 and we will be pleased to put your name on our mailing list.
We will soon be turning our clocks back to standard time. I, along with a countless number of other people, change the batteries in our smoke alarms and carbon dioxide detectors at this time of the year.
You may also want to have a "fire drill" in your own home. If there was a fire in your kitchen what route would you and your loved ones take to safely leave the house?
Nassau County has allocated six hundred flu shots for the Mineola Senior Flu Program.
