William C. Gehrhardt Jr., a longtime resident of Mineola, died on Sept. 8, 2002. He was senior vice president of the Queens County Savings Bank for 42 years. He served in the Army in Germany and Korea and was a member of the American Legion, serving as commander Post #1718, Carle Place. He was a Boy Scout leader and Sunday school teacher. Husband of Henrietta. Father of Kathy Lee (Gary) and Dr. William C. III (Mary). Grandfather of Katie, Johanna, William IV, Alyssa and Steven. Brother of Hazel Szatmary and Carolyn Cassingham. Olga Michael, 86, formerly of Mineola, died on Sept. 10, 2002. Born in Manhattan, daughter of Elie and Dora (Jacobel) Mair, she graduated from East District Central School, Brooklyn. She was a secretary with the NC Probation Dept. retiring in 1982. Mother of Valerie Lovett (Bruce). Sister of Jay Mair and Mary Cuoccolo. She was predeceased by her sister Bertha.
