On Thursday, Aug. 22, an important meeting of the Mineola Mustang Run Committee will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the Mineola Community Center (Village Hall), 151 Washington Avenue.

Everyone is invited to volunteer including non-walkers and non-runners. This year's run will be held on Sunday, Nov. 17 and will include a 5K (3.1 mile) Run/Walk and a one mile Fun Run/Walk.

Proceeds from the run will be divided among the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Mineola Athletic Association, Mineola Police Athletic League, Mineola Auxiliary Police, Mineola Fire Department (life-saving equipment), Mineola Historical Society and Mineola Youth and Family Services. Special donations will also be made to PACE (Parent and Child Education) and the Pediatric Cancer Care Center at Winthrop University Hospital.
