Mary Albiston (nee Huysman), 86, formerly of Mineola, died in Poway, CA, July 4, 2002. Beloved wife of the late Alex (Scotty) former owner of Scotty's Esso Station, Mineola. Survivors include daughters Mary Joan (Huntington), Betty Bushman (Holtsville), Kathryn Barnwell (Escondido, CA) and Nancy Dinsmore (Loveland, CO) and brothers, George (Saranac Lake), John (Narrowsburg, NY) and Vincent (Dunnellon, FL).

Mrs. Albiston, a longtime resident of Mineola, was a member of the first graduating class of Corpus Christi School and was a graduate of Mineola High School Class of 1934.

A Memorial Mass will be said on Aug. 10 at 11:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi RC Church, Mineola. Donations can be made to Elizabeth Hospice, 159 West Crest St., Escondido, CA.

Alban F. Barbsis, of Mineola, died on July 15, 2002. Husband of Catherine. Father of Marie Boily and Jeanne Holmann. Grandfather of Suzanne, Jacqueline, Jessica, Stephen and Brian. Arrangements were made by the Cassidy Funeral Home, Mineola. Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi RC Church. Interment St. John's Cemetery.
