Michael A. Zullo Jr., of Williston Park, died on June 23, 2002. He was a member of Williston Park American Legion Post #144 and VFW Post #5253. Husband of the late Louise. Father of Michael J. Zullo III and Douglas A. Zullo. Father-in-law of Judith and Christine. Grandfather of Brian, David, Aimee, Jeff, Jennifer, Elizabeth and Michael IV. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park. Funeral Mass at St. Aidan's RC Church. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Thomas F. Breslin, of Williston Park, died on June 24, 2002. Husband of Gloria. Father of Steven and Eric. Son of Gladys and the late Donald. Brother of James and Kathleen. Arrangements were made by the Weigand Bros. Funeral Home, Williston Park. Funeral Mass at St. Aidan's RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Francis J. Barnwell, a resident of Mineola for over 50 years, died on June 27, 2002 at the age of 82. Frank, the son of Irish immigrants, was born in Palisades, NY, and grew up in Westchester County. He attended Alfred University graduating with a degree in electronics engineering. He began his career in upstate NY where he met his wife Catherine "Bernice" of Rochester.

During WWII Mr. Barnwell served in the US Navy. He was assigned to the Navy Department in Washington, DC, where he worked on the development of electronic defense systems. Following the war he joined Hazeltine Electronics where he managed defense and space exploration projects. In 1970 he was employed by the NC Board of Traffic Safety. He retired in1984. He enjoyed playing golf and was proud to display his "hole in one" trophy. In 1999 his wife Bernice of 54 years passed away.

He is survived by three children, Patricia Mulligan (Thomas) of East Northport, Robert "Mike" Barnwell (Kathryn Albiston) of Escondido, CA, and Kathleen Bechtel (Donald) of Manhattan. Also survived by a sister Margaret Barnwell of Oyster Bay and sister-in-law Arlene Barnwell of Suffern, NY. He was preceded in death by his brother Edward. Grandfather of eight. Great-grandfather of six. Arrangements were made by the Cassidy Funeral Home, Mineola. Funeral Mass at Corpus Christi RC Church on July 3. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
