The mayor and the board of trustees for the Incorporated Village of Mineola held a hearing last week to consider an application of architect Matthew S. Degiamo, representing Alamo car rental, located at 462 Jericho Turnpike, for a special use permit to legally operate their car rental business so that they can store 15 cars on the site.

Outward Bound Proves to Be Great Experience
The Outward Bound class offered at the high school is an educational experience like no other. It does not consist of homework and cramming for tests. Instead it requires an individual to challenge him or herself by exposing them to various adventures and situations. The quest to expand their comfort zones is done with the support of fellow classmates and assisted with educated professionals. This class is offered to Mineola High School seniors in place of a gym class. It meets every other day just like a regular gym class and requires annual field trips.
