The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1305 will host the Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies on Monday, May 27. Everyone will begin to assemble at Wilson Park at 10:30 a.m. and then the parade will leave at 11 a.m.

The parade will proceed west on Westbury Avenue, then north on Roslyn Road, then west on Jericho Turnpike, then south on Marcellus Road to the ceremonial stand in Mineola Memorial Park. The members of the VFW are urging organizations and their members to attend the ceremony at the park after the parade.
The memorial wreaths may be delivered to the Mineola Village Community Center on Saturday, May 25, between 9 a.m. and noon. The parade chairperson Manny Grilo will be at the community center to receive them. All monetary donations should be made out to: Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 1305 and sent to: P.O. Box 294, Mineola, NY 11501 - Attention: Parade Chairperson Manny Grilo.
All contributions will be deposited in the Relief and Welfare Fund for the needy veterans. Note that the weather conditions for the parade are in the hands of Mr. Grilo and his committee who may be reached at 248-4669.
