Traffic Study Being Conducted for Clarissa Road
Residents around the area of Clarissa Road may have noticed a traffic study being conducted. Just recently, the Mineola Village Board of Trustees declined the application by Metro Centers to purchase Clarissa Road.

Memorial Day Parade This Monday
The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1305 will host the Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremonies on Monday, May 27. Everyone will begin to assemble at Wilson Park at 10:30 a.m. and then the parade will leave at 11 a.m.

Mineola Chamber's Terry Mooney and Daniel Fitzgerald combined on a one hitter and Mineola came away with a 2-0 winner. All the scoring came in the fourth on a single by Daniel Fitzgerald and a RBI double by Terry Mooney. Terry stole third and home for all the scoring.

Some days you get the bear and some days the bear gets you. That's the kind of season Mineola High School varsity baseball coach Helms Bohringer is having. In fact, that bear has been after the Mustangs all season long. Coach Bohringer said, after his team dropped its first six league games, "We have our days of good baseball, bad baseball and some unfortunate breaks."
