William "Bill" E. Rehman, 86, of Mineola, died on April 3, 2002, after a brief illness. He was a parishioner and volunteer at Corpus Christi Church in Mineola, a volunteer at Mercy Hospital Hospice for Cancer Care and a disabled veterans volunteer for many years. He was in the first graduating class of Chaminade High School in 1934, an Army veteran of the European Theatre of WWII. Bill was awarded the Bronze Star for Bravery and the Purple Heart for injuries he sustained. He was the proud proprietor of the "Saratoga Inn" in Mineola for over two decades. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, "Marge" (Margaret) and son William. Father of Thomas (Agnes), Daniel (Donna), Patricia, Maureen, Christopher (Jennifer), Mary Jane, Margaret (Gene). Grandfather of Daniel, Teresa, Christian, Karen, Justin, Michael, Kimberly, Matti, Carolyn, James, Shannon, Matthew, Kathleen, Jessica, Stephanie and John. Great-grandfather of Keely Alma, Dylan Thomas and Sean Patrick. Also survived by his sister Mary Jane Wynne (Jack), nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Cassidy Funeral Home, Mineola.
