The Nassau County Bar Association is sponsoring a free legal clinic for seniors from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on February 7 at its offices at 15th Street and West Street in Mineola. If you would like more information or to make a reservation please call during business hours, 747-4070.
Winthrop-University Hospital's Clinical Trial Center is conducting Investigational Medication Research Studies for the following:
Crohn's Disease- You may qualify if you,
* Are 18 years or older
* Have at least a six month history of Crohn's Disease
* Prior treatment for Crohn's Disease has not been successful
Type Z Diabetes Mellitus- You may qualify if you,
* Are 18 years or older
* Have history of Type Z Diabetes
* Have been treated with insulin continuously for past six months or more. Oral agents coupled with insulin is acceptable.
Early Parkinson's Disease- You may qualify if you,
* Are 30 years or older
* Have had Parkinson's Disease for less than seven years
* Are not currently taking Levodopa, Requip, Mirapex or Pemmax
