I would like to introduce you to Roseann Peritora. As you might have heard I am semiretired but I will continue to do this column. Roseann has worked for many different weekly newspapers and has had a very successful career. She really knows the business and will do a wonderful job. Already the merchants of Mineola seem to like her and we hear good things about her from everyone she has met.

Dr. Lymon Fussell of Harrison Avenue is now 100 years old.
Guess what? Pat Tobin of Royal Avenue has a Cadillac with a trunk that refuses to close (as it is supposed to do automatically) and stays partially open just like my Buick.
Raul and Ema Casta who live on Westbury Avenue are good customers of the Jericho Diner.
Alice Brady of Albertson Place enjoys lunch most days at our favorite diner.
Met Carl Melvin the other day. He is the son of Charlie and Helen and is an expert carpenter. Charlie and Helen are active in the senior citizens clubs.
