I would like to introduce you to Roseann Peritora. As you might have heard I am semiretired but I will continue to do this column. Roseann has worked for many different weekly newspapers and has had a very successful career. She really knows the business and will do a wonderful job. Already the merchants of Mineola seem to like her and we hear good things about her from everyone she has met.

Stan and Vicki Pitcavage of Brown Street are good customers of TK's Gifts and he is a member of the MFD.

Ron Geoffrion of Washington Avenue is a daily customer of the Jericho Diner.

Gene and Karen Goulet of Andrews Road walk their good-looking dog daily. Gene is with the police department.

Mario and Sue Alves live in Carle Place but always attend Mass at Corpus Christi Church. He is active in the Portuguese community.

Sorry to hear that Toni Pavlovich has not been well. We hope for a speedy recovery.

Theresa Irace of Andrews Road has lived in Mineola for 53 years. Theresa's family, who lived in Hempstead, ran the Williston Theater in Mineola in what is now the Irish-American Center on Willis Avenue. During World War II Theresa took her brother's place at the theater when he went into service.

Dr. Lymon Fussell of Harrison Avenue is now 100 years old.

Guess what? Pat Tobin of Royal Avenue has a Cadillac with a trunk that refuses to close (as it is supposed to do automatically) and stays partially open just like my Buick.

Raul and Ema Casta who live on Westbury Avenue are good customers of the Jericho Diner.

Alice Brady of Albertson Place enjoys lunch most days at our favorite diner.

Met Carl Melvin the other day. He is the son of Charlie and Helen and is an expert carpenter. Charlie and Helen are active in the senior citizens clubs.

Werner Gerland of Williston Park and the former owner of Werner's Deli worked during the busy holiday season at Kuck's Deli.

Sara Jane Berman of East Williston is a customer at the Jericho Diner. She holds book discussion meetings at Borders.

Joe and Ann Tartaglia live on Congress Avenue and are faithful patrons of TK's Gifts. Joe has been an active member of the MFD for 32 years.

Paul and Peggy May have been active in local affairs for many years and seem to be two of the busiest people in the village. Paul paid a visit to Anton's recently. They are residents of Linden Road. Logo
