Outward Bound Students Visit Peec Environmental Center
On Nov. 16 and 17, Mineola High School students went on an Outward Bound Physical Education trip that they will never forget. The students and their chaperones went to the Peec Environmental Center in Pennsylvania. Everyone slept in comfortable beds inside warm cabins. There could not have been better weather during the trip.

2001 - A Year in Review
In a year that marked various anniversaries, the Corpus Christi Parish celebrated 100 years of existence. Various events including guest speakers, a luncheon and a dinner were planned by the 100th Anniversary Committee in order to mark the occasion. The Corpus Christi anniversary wasn't without some sadness though. In March, the parish's pastor Father Kenneth Winkler lost his battle with cancer.

STAR Program Continues Mission
The Mineola STAR Program continued its mission as Mr. Amitrano, athletic director, and varsity basketball coach Scott Donnellan brought the varsity basketball team to Jackson Avenue Elementary.

Wins Mount for Corpus Christi Fifth Graders
The key to the success of the Corpus Christi fifth grade squad is a quick opening and a dynamic close. On Sunday the boys marched to their fourth win against one loss with a 26-17 victory over Our Lady Of Hope of Carle Place. The team has become a balanced scoring machine and has gotten a tremendous reputation as defensive stalwarts.
